Bao gồm các loại sợi thiên nhiên có nguồn gốc thực vật (như bông, lanh, gai dầu,..), sợi thiên nhiên có nguồn gốc động vật (như len, alpaca, angora, cashmere, mohair, vicuna, lụa,..), sợi tổng hợp (nylon, polyester, acrylic,..), sợi nhân tạo (viscose, acetate,..) được gia công dưới dạng sợi chải kỹ và sợi thô.
