Máy tạo tấm giấy bán tự động sử dụng hệ thống tương tự như máy thủ công, với tấm có đường kính 159 mm. Thiết bị này giúp loại bỏ hầu hết các sai sót do yếu tố con người trong quá trình sản xuất tấm giấy. Máy thực hiện các thao tác tự động như đổ đầy, khuấy, lắng, xả và thoát nước tự động. Việc lấy tấm giấy ra khỏi khuôn được thực hiện bằng hệ thống chân không thay vì con lăn. Để hoàn thành quá trình tạo tấm giấy, cần có máy ép và máy sấy nhanh.
