Tiêu chuẩn: ISO 12625-8.
Thiết bị tự động dùng để đo khả năng hấp thụ và thời gian ngâm của giấy vệ sinh. Thiết bị bao gồm một cánh tay để đặt giỏ 3 gram giấy đã được cân trước khi thử nghiệm. Nhấn nút bắt đầu và thiết bị sẽ thả mẫu vào bể nước. Thiết bị ghi lại thời gian cần thiết để mẫu giấy ngập trong nước và sau 30 giây, thiết bị sẽ nghiêng mẫu ở góc 30° để mẫu giấy được thoát nước trong 60 giây tiếp theo. Cuối cùng, mẫu giấy được cân lại và dựa trên sự chênh lệch trọng lượng, ta tính toán khả năng hấp thụ của giấy đã thử. Trong mô hình này, toàn bộ quá trình là tự động, bao gồm cả việc cân và tính toán.
