Carbon and Nitrogen determination in soils are fundamental data for soil chemistry characterization, environmental monitoring, agronomy and cultures. Carbon and Nitrogen are diffused elements in soils but are normally reported into low concentrations. Considering the cultivated soils or poor natural soils, concentrations of these elements are usually lower than 2% and 0.2% for carbon and nitrogen respectively (typical C:N ratio reported in cultivated soils is 10).

Low elements concentration is also accompanied by the presence of a pool of different minerals, metals, organic compounds that may cause interferences or problems in detection. ECS 8024 Soil Special is the optimized analyzer for CHNS-O determination in any type of soil. Consumables are set and tested for the perfect oxidation and reduction of sought elements. Thanks to the optimized conditions and to the equilibrium in consumables and chemical choice, very high analysis accuracy and precision are ensured. The repeatability allow the user to save time, chemicals, products and thus money.
